Hi! It's Ella Joy Finally!

Well, I'm finally in with the help of C.B. and Margaret. I posted a long message but entered it under comments and then all of a sudden it was gone. I got so frustrated....C.B. was at a baseball game and Margaret was at work. Margaret finally called & helped me get on again, so let's hope this message goes through. Thanks, Margaret.

I remember Renee breaking her arm, just didn't remember how. The long post that I spent an hour writing was about my accident in Jan. 62 when we had a big freeze. Richert, do you remember? We had finally convinced your mom to let you walk to my house.
You had on this big furry over shirt...you were like a big teddy bear. I remember us trying to
walk to Lynn's holding on to each other, having so much fun just trying to stand up. We finally
met up with Lynn...she was probably walking to meet us. Then we cut through the school to
go down town and discovered this great iced over area between the cafeteria and another building. Great ice skating rink.

As we gathered more friends we all went to the iced over area. And the fun began. We would
run and jump to see who could slid the farthest. Being the tomboy I was, I did my first
run & slid. Hit the ice pretty hard and just laid there. When every one came over I started laughing. The next time, I did the same thing. This time, from what I understand, no one came
over. Then after a while, everyone realized something was wrong. They put me in Dickie Bird's car and half of the crowd ran to my house. Richert, do you remember some of the details?

I don't remember any of it since I had a concussion and broken collar bone. I do remember being told that I kept asking when was Christmas. Richert's response was that we had
postponed it. I was repeating the same things over and over. Johnny K. told me that my
concussion was probably from Kent Muse knocking me in the head with the car door. Jeff,
were you with us? Jon Carl was there and I just can't remember who else. I'm pretty sure
Lynn & I were the only girls. Renee was certainly not there because her first baby was
born while I was in the hospital. I spent several days in the hospital in Magnolia.

I will try to attempt to put some pictures on. Margaret, I will wait until you can walk me through that process.
