The "Senor and Senorita Picture"

Remember, each year the Jrs. and some Sophs. served and put on the entertainment for the Senior Banquet. I really don't remember this, but boy did my mother. She could tell me what I wore and everything else. Long term memory is still working. It seems as though I remember Alice Mary singing, but that couldn't be because she was a Sr. Does anyone remember what the theme of our Senior Prom was? Remember, how it was such a big secret and we worked so hard to get the gym fixed when we were Jrs.? Times have really changed. I think we probably spent $500 max even with a band. Oh, does anyone remember the band at our Sr. prom. The kids today spend thousands if they decorate at all. This year my beautiful Kayla Kelsey's class all hired those bus -like limos and rented an Antebellium (I can't spell that) home in Covington and had banquet and prom there. That cost some daddies' big bucks. Whatever happened to going to Panama Beach on the bus for the Senior trip? If anyone has a hard time following this---I write like I talk. The whole time someone is talking to me I'm so busy shaking my head agreeing with them and thinking about what I'm going to say, that I don't have a clue as to what they just said. Well, we all have issues!!!

Okay, our theme was Blue Moon. I have no idea who the band was. I think my date was Deloy Smith, but it could have been Bill Smith. Deloy and I may have been on the outs at that time. I remember, however, receiving a beautifl orchid corsage.

I vaguely remember, only after seeing the picture, this banquet. But I do remember having so much fun decorating the gym in blue for the prom. And I remember Mr. Davis saying we were the only class capable of doing such a great job. It was really beautiful!

I would love to see some color pictures of that.

Margaret I think the theme was Rhapsody in Blue. And I seem to remember Rosemary came up with that, but I'm not sure. I'm not aware of any pics from the prom even in the annual. I was kind of the annual staff photographer and I don't remember taking pics that night.

Richert, you could be right. But I could be, too! I wish Dorothy Ann had computer access. She would know. Somebody's class had the theme Blue Moon! I can almost sing the entire song right now. (ha)
