Still Experimenting

I am still experimenting with pictures. This one was taken last year on the cruise ship. I tried cropping the picture, mainly to see if I could. As you can tell, a few....make that a lot of pounds have been added. I'm not as active as I was when I was playing basketball but that's ok too. I am happy and enjoy life!

Hilda, you look great. Most of us have added a few or a lot of pounds. Except for Bettye! I weighed 87 pounds in school. How is the new baby? Here I am nearly midnight again and still at it.

Love,

Renee

Hilda, I remember in one of your earlier post you lived in Beaverton OR. If you did what year was that? I worked for a company in Beaverton for a few years around 1985 and I though the area was great.

Hilda, you were always good in basketball. I remember I was only good enough to have the top of the uniform, but not the bottoms. I knew Ms. Singleton never really liked me!!!

PS. I don't think these times are correct for posting. Or either it's not Houston's time. This is actually 6:29 am.

Jeff, I never lived in Beaverton but in Portland and then later Scappoose. My sister Nancy however does live in Beaverton. That is where I had planned to go this summer. She has been there since 1982. You're right, it is beautiful country.

Margaret, No the time isn't correct. Mrs. Singleton didn't like me either!! I didn't even get the top.

Thank you Renee. Makaya (makiya) is doing great. They are coming over this weekend so I will try to get a picture to post. Nothing like a proud grandma, right?

Margaret, I did love basketball. Unfortunately when I moved to Oregon they did not have girls teams so I didn't get to play my senior year.

Margaret & Renee, y'all were just to short. jk, I don't think Mrs. Singleton liked very many people.

Speaking of not liking someone, Mrs. Alford didn't like me until we got in her class. I remember the first day in there and we had to write our names for roll. When she got to mine she said "who is Hilda Carter"? I raised my hand and she looked at me and said, "you mean you're not who I thought you was all these years?" I said I guess not. Never had any problem with her after that. Don't know who she thought I was but I'm glad I wasn't her!
