Weekend Blast from the Past

I think some of you have seen this photo. I think I sent to one of the reunions I was unable to attend. Either way....here it is again. Wish I had more like it. 1961 jr/sen prom. Recognise everyone? By the way Jeff. I went to grad school at UCSB. University of California Santa Barbara. It was like being in school in a resort the two years I was there. But I arrived in NYC August of 1968. That fall the students in Isla Vista where my apartment was, burned down the Bank of America in protest of the Vietnam War. Guess I got out of Santa Barbara at just the right time.

What a fantastic photo....what was the event? Richert, Santa Barbara is one of my favorite CA towns. I moved to the LA area after USL in 67 and worked in and out of California until I also moved to NY in 1971.
I'll have to write an expanded version of my travels for the blog one day.

OH MY GOSH !!!! That is priceless. I am saving the pictures on my computer.

And Jeff, Richert is right . I can see your mother in both of your daughters. Do either of them have her personality? See always kept us laughing when we went to the the drug store.

Great photo. I think I recognize everyone...Dickie Bird in the center
Guy in back. I do not recall this at all...must have missed the photo op.
If this was 1961, most in the pic are
juniors and sophomores. And, Richert, did you say this was our 1961 junior/senior prom?
I really need to have one of you near so you can teach me how to post pictures. Margaret, don't say a word!

If I recall correctly it was the class dinner before the senior prom. We were the servers I think and the them was fiesta or something like that. We were all Jr's. But admittedly the details are hazy for me too.
