I'm Back

I got back last night and have been trying to catch up. I'll be leaving for Miami on Wednesday, but will have access to internet. While I was at my mother's, I found 6 annuals. When I get back I'll scan in some of the photos. Welcome everybody. It is great to hear from all of you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE

Today, Sunday May 18

If you get Bravo check your listings . The Law and Order Criminal Intent episode, "Unrequited", which Richert was in, is airing a couple of times today. Unfortunately I don't get Bravo.

I found it and have it set to record as Sunday's are usually taken up with my mom and I won't be home until later. Thanks fors the heads up. So glad you are home. Why are you going to Miami? What are you going to do? How long will you be gone? I had a dream that while you were in Kentwood I saw you. This is really weird. This blog seems to be bringing up a lot of things that I think have been hidden away behind a closed door for a long time. There are things that I have not thought about that are in my head now. I think it is so strange that even though we seem to be so spread out---over a life time, we have had a lot of the same experiences. I guess it is just everyone getting on with living their life. Kentwood really is the glue that connects us all.

Hilda, I missed all of you, too. My Mom looks great, but she is so weak and frail. How is your back?

Bonnie, I wish your son, the PT, could work with my mother. I heard some great things about him while I was there. My step-daughter is a PT, too. The world gets smaller and smaller.

I'm leaving for Miami on May 21 and returning on the 30th. Ron has been working there for several months. He finishes up the 23rd, but has the condo until the end of the month. So we're going to spend the rest of the time relaxing! Sort of a mini vacation.

Laughing out Loud, with Lots of Love.

PS
I think that is a generational thing.

My back is doing much better, at least I can walk now without so much pain. Thanks for asking.

Renee, So glad you made that long drive home safe and sound. It was great to see you...just wish our visit could have been longer.
I saw Richert's performance in the
Law and Order episode when it first
aired. I do get Bravo and will watch it again. Thanks for letting us know. bTW, How did you found out?

On my Excite homepage I can choose a TV shows and it will alert me when it will be coming on. When Richert told me the name of the episode I plugged it in. I just found out I do have Bravo. So I'm going to watch it, too. Shows you how much time I have to watch TV.

EJ, I'm glad I "lucked out" and got to see you. I wish I had more time to visit everyone when I'm in Kentwood.

The weather ws so bad when I was there. Did anyone have any damage?

On Friday when we had all the terrible rain & storms, C.B. and I
were driving back from B.R. We did fine until we got to University Blvd...all the streets were flooded. We had to wait in the Church Parking lot for about 45 minutes. We were only four blocks from home. I felt like I was back in N.O. I'm very happy we bought flood insurance. It was not required. Hammond had about six inches of rain in less than 2 hrs.

I wonder if Janice had any damage. I know the Central area got hit pretty hard.

Renee,
I wish I could have seen you while you were in Kentwood. Maybe next
time.
We had no damage from the storm except lots of limbs down, because we have lots of trees. Thanks for asking. There was a lot of damage in Central.
Have a great trip to Miami, our son Chad lives about 30 miles north of Miami, in Boca Raton. we have visited him and it is very pretty there.
Love ya
