Hi, All! I was one of two nurses selected from our department to go on an all expense paid trip to our National Convention of the American Association of Perianesthesia Nurses! I wish it were far, far away, but this year it happens to be in Grapevine, Texas which is near Fort Worth. I leave today (Sunday) and get back Wednesday evening. Needless to say, I am very excited.
The last time I attended a national nursing convention was in 1963 when I was President of the Nurses Association at USL and I was running for national treasurer. It just so happened it was in New Orleans and my colleagues decided I needed to be noticed......so, for our talent show night, I did a strip to the stripper song while wearing lots of clothes and the last piece of clothing I had on was an old timey bathing suit. It was fun and I love to shock people telling them I did a striptease in New Orleans in my younger days! PS, I didn't win the treasurer spot!
