Hello from EJ

Hi Guys,
Jimmy Schwartz's father, Mr. Bully, passed away....he was 96. I went to the wake Monday night and they had him laid out in a red casket. Jimmy said he always drove a red truck and he would have loved the casket. Hilda, your Dad and his wife were there. I spoke to him and told him who I was but he didn't recall and he didn't remember Daddy. It was the first time I had seen him in over 40 years.
The '63 Class Reunion is this weekend. I will be going, but I will probably leave C.B. at home.
If I can operate my camera, I'll take a few pictures and post them. Johnny and Norma Jean may
come too.
My Dallas trip was fun and productive. But, oh my, my poor feet. I felt like I had a permanent cramp in my toes. Funny, they didn't hurt when I was walking and I did miles and miles of that....it was when I would stop. I needed a good foot message.
Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer. Jeff, where are you?

EJ, you are so nice to attend all the funerals that you do. I'm sure everyone always appreciates it. I love the red casket! What a neat thing to do! Also, I can't believe you recognized Mr. Carter. Did you just remember him from Hilda's picture or did you have to ask? Have a great time at the Class of '63 Reunion and bring back lots of news.

Marg,
No I did not recognize him. Jimmy and
I were talking and he mentioned that
he was there, so I went over to speak to him.
Do you have any news on Fernie Ray?

Thank you EJ for taking the time to speak to Dad. He and Mr. Bully were such good friends and he really took his death hard from what Lavern told me. Unfortunately he doesn't remember many people right now, he has to ask me all the time how many kids I have and their names. Still thinks of them as very young. Getting older sure is hard.

Hilda, getting old really is hard. I'm not old in my mind---you know what I mean? A friend once told me that "God doesn't like old people." I said, "That is ugly, why would you say that?" He said..."Look what he does to them!!!" Enough said.

Bonnie, I definitely know what you mean. I tell my kids all the time I am still young but my body just doesn't know it. My accident has slowed me down tremendously though. Hope to see you when I get back to La.
