Hi Everyone, I am still enjoying my stay in Oregon although I am still unable to get out and do much. Seems like when I think maybe my back will be all right then I have a setback. Very frustrating.
I am really enjoying hearing about what every one else is doing so keep the info flowing.
Renee, from what I am being told the babies are doing great, growing very fast. I am anxious to get home and see them. And as I have said before, hope to be able to see some of the former classmates who live in Louisiana when I get over there.
Nancy & I are travelling to California Friday. Her daughter goes to college at College of the Siskiyous on a basketball scholarship and has to go down for ball camp this week. We will go down and pick her up and spend the week end. I am looking forward to that, it is a beautiful drive and I hope to be able to get pictures. Will also get to visit cousins who live in Redding, CA.
Everyone take care and continue enjoying your summer.

I'm glad you are enjoying Oregon. Did you have to have surgery on your back? My daughter hurt her back, too. She has a pinched nerve. She's had two injections. They help for a while, but it seems to keep coming back. I'm hoping she won't have to have surgery.
I hope you enjoy your trip to CA. That is beautiful country.
LOL
nwbNo, I didn't have surgery. The doctor mentioned it but also said it should heal with time. I would have to think long and hard before having surgery on it. I just have to be so careful about things I do. Thanks for asking.
By the way, how far is Branson from Chattanooga?
I'm not sure. I'll have to look it up. Ron said it is at least 600 miles. Are you going to Chattanooga?
The end of August and through September Ron and I will be working in OK, MO, MD, VA,and SC. It has been a long time since I did one of these road trips. I hope I survive it. I should be able to see my daughter and grand kids while I'm in SC. I'm excited about that.
I don't blame you for not wanting to have surgery. My daughter feels the same way.
Enjoy the rest of your summer. Great to "talk" to you again.
While I was going through the 1954 annual, I found some darling pictures of you. I hope I can figure out how to get them scanned.
I do plan to go to Chattanooga sometime in the fall. My cousin who lost his wife to cancer this year wants me to come visit with him and his daughter. They both live on Signal Mtn; Lionell & I had planned a trip up there the year he was diagnosed with colon cancer so needless to say we never made it. Seems like something has come up every time I make plans to go.
The pictures in the annual couldn't have been too good, I never take good ones.
How long will you and Ron be gone on your road trip? Sounds like fun.
Take care.
We'll probably be gone about five weeks. We'll be working most of the time and traveling the other days. We did this kind of work for ten years. At first it was great. We have been in almost every state and we've seen so many things we would never have been able to see otherwise. We work with employee benefits and we each have insurance licenses in about 45 states.
Three years ago I got so tired of living out of a suitcase, I got a job at home. I quit it last September, so I decided to go on the road with him on this one. It will be a change for me and I'll have a chance to see my family.
