HI!

  • I have been so busy as I'm sure is the same with everyone. I do check the blog daily and think of all of you.
  • Richert, sounds like you need to let us know when would be an ideal time to visit. Check your schedule and let me know where you think would be best to have a bunch of your high school buds come see you perform. I'll try to work on it.
  • Renee, I love your experimenting with pictures and scanning the old photos. Please don't stop. It brings back such good memories.
  • You are probably wondering about the photos. My brother Bobby, who was mayor of Kentwood for almost 25 years, was around when they tore down the original watertank in Kentwood and asked if he could have this ball that was on top of it. Now his son has made a little water garden at Bobby's house and when I was in Kentwood for the slumber party, I took this pictures.

Marg,

What a great way to preserve the past! I remember trying to climb to the top of the water tower. I don't believe I ever made it. I think I have a picture of the water tower freezing and creating an ice show, something we never saw in Louisiana. I'll try to find the picture and post it.

I'll keep experimenting with the photos. It is a challenge to find what works. I'm working with three computers, and none of them show the photos the same way, so I'm not sure what you guys are seeing.

Bettye and Jeff, I love the stories
about the bicycle ride and Fran's crush on Jeff. It is amazing to me how many memories the pictures bring back.

Hilda are you back yet? Bonnie. I know you are busy starting school, but we miss you. Rosemary, what have you been up to?

LOL,

Renee

Take care everybody.

Renee,
What have I missed? I do not remember reading the stories about the bicycle ride and Fran's crush on Jeff. But I thought we all had a crush on Jeff.

Hi EJ,

It is hard to keep up all the posts. I believe the story was in the "class favorites" post. There is a search box at the top left of my computer. If you type in "bike" it will pull all posts with "bike".

I don't know anyone who didn't have a crush on Jeff. Mary Anne was lucky he got out of Kentwood single. And out of Africa alive.

I don't like to have to go through each comment to find a new post, but I don't want to miss anything. So I do two things. I set up my gmail account to notify me of new posts. And I go to the New Post page click on list of posts and print out the page. The next time I go on the blog I can look at the list and see if there is anything new. Makes life a lot easier.

I'll try to get some more school pictures posted.
