Any word on Kentwood, and how is everyone?

I've been surfing around the internet tonight with various local tv stations, NO and BR, but can't really find anything about Tangi Parish. Just wondering how it's faring as the Eastern part of the storm appears to have gone though the area.

Richert, I talked to EJ and Bettye late yesterday and they are fine. The electricity is out but they both have generators. Lots of limbs/a few trees are strewn about. It was still raining hard and the wind was blowing fiercely about 6 pm when I talked to Bettye. I haven't talked to Charl.

Margaret, thanks for the report. Hope to talk to my cousins in Clinton sometime today.

All of my family in Louisiana is ok. No one has any electricity. But no major damage. I couldn't reach anyone by phone but I was able to send and receive text messages to some. That is how we kept in touch during Katrina. I hope everyone else made out ok.

Ron and I are in Tulsa tonight starting our 4 week job traveling through 7 states.

Have been in contact with my family, all are ok. Trees down and shingles off roofs but that is minor. Some have generators which is a blessing.
Margaret, any word from Charlene yet? Also has anyone heard from Janice & Kenny?

Hilda, yes, I talked to Charl yesterday. Her daughter Kim has electricity so everyone is staying at her house. They are doing fine. She said the wind and the rain has been terrible and trees down everywhere. Barbara Smith Gill, my sister-in-law is in Baton Rouge with her kids. She says BR took a terrible beating. Denham Springs, Walker and surrounding areas are still without power...also Kentwood! Despite the terrible inconvenience, everyone seems to be surviving and thankful it wasn't any worse.

The storm was very bad here. 90-93 mile an hr. winds. We have 2 trees down, and two on our property from a neighbor, but none hit anything.
We have limbs everywhere, but we now have electricity, after none for three days, we were very thankful when it came on. Lots of damage all over B.R. and now there are roads closed because of the Comite River flooding, and not much open, gas is scarce, so is ice and many thousands still without electricity. We have friends whose homes have trees on them, one looks like it will be a total lost, but they are o.k. Good to know that E.J. and Bettye are o.k.Hilda thanks for asking about us. We will be praying for your dad.
Sorry to hear about Richard.
