Hello From Overland Park Kansas

I'm so glad everybody weathered the storm with no major damage. I wish they could get the lights back on. It must be miserable.

Hilda, I'm also sorry about your dad. Since the storm has passed, will you be able to go to Louisiana? I know how hard it is to be so far away.

I hope none of the storms brewing in the Atlantic go to Louisiana or Georgia, or anywhere else for that matter!

Bettye, it was so good to see you at Margie's. You look great. Wish I had more time to visit with everyone when I'm there, but I'm fortunate if I get to see all of my family.

I haven't noticed a post from Bonnie, Sandra, or Rosemary since the storm. Has anyone heard from them?

Thanks again Margaret for starting the blog. It is so good to be able to stay in touch. I hope I'll be able to post some more pictures when I finish this job.

Love ya'll, too
Renee

Renee,
Bonnie probably does not have her internet back up. Things are not that good here. I've been to Amite a couple of times this week and on Friday there were huge lines to get bottled water. Some areas are having to boil their water....something has happened to the sewerage system. Don't know exactly what. I saw where Skinney's was on the list.
The subdivision across the street from ours still does not have electricity. I just got the saddest
email from my former business partner. Her daughter and her husband totally lost their house in B.R. Just did a new addition and it will have be torn down. Her mother (in her late 80's) had a brain hemorrage & is dying. Her other daughter is having a C-section this Wed. Everyone is scattered in 3 different states. Please keep her in your prayers. And to top everything off...we now have to worry about Ike.
