Show Business: The Road to Broadway

Well, I had good intentions of asking all of you to watch this show, but I just noticed that it was on at 2:30 pm today (Monday) and it's now 9 pm! However, it was on SHO and perhaps will be playing again. I thought it would give us insight into how much work a Broadway show requires and what Richert must have gone through to get where he is today. Did you by any chance see it, Richert?

We did well with Hurricane Ike. Our house was unharmed and we got our electricity back relatively quick. God was good to us! I still have friends without power.

I hope all of you are doing good and enjoying life. Thanks for thinking of me during this crisis.

Thanks Margaret. Glad you are back on the board so to speak. I have not seen the Showtime show. Somewhere in the back of my mind I've heard of it, but just have basic cable here in Cincy and same in St Louis so will have to wait til I get home to see it. But for me, let's just say that a truly sane person would never pursue showbiz as a profession. You have to be a bit "teched in the head" to stick with something so insecure and potentially heartbreaking as this profession. And you have to know that rewards when they come won't necessarily be financial but something far more intangible. Having gone through it, in spite of the rough times of the past and possibly those that lie ahead....I wouldn't change a moment of it. Of course I'm still mad as a hatter!!! Whoo-hoo!
