Jeff, the pictures are wonderful. Makes me "homesick" for Oregon again. Fall is my favorite time of year anywhere but especially when we lived out there. Had Johnny been out there before?

I found the bear!! Gosh, it was a big one. I hope you were rowing as hard as you could away from him! I especially liked the last picture of you and Johnny.....the guide was really cute!!

Jeff and Johnny, in high school, you never said one name without the other! Seeing the two of you together after all these years takes me back to those days. It feels good.

Hilda, this was Johnny's first trip to Oregon and as you can imagine he thought it was beautiful country. How long did you live in Oregon?
Margaret, this guide was fantastic. We had a lot of very impressive white water over the 3 day float and he kept us in the boat through everything! That fish was a 20+ pound salmon which he cooked for us on the bank for lunch. Its great traveling with Johnny. After all these years we still have as much fun as we did in high school.

Jeff, I lived in Oregon for 18 1/2 years. We moved out there at the end of my junior year, I got married the following December and other than when Lionell was in the service and we were in Texas we lived in Portland then Scappoose until December of '79.

Fishing was one of Lionell's favorite past times and he fished in a lot of the rivers up there. We used to go camping every year, one or two weeks fishing and one week hunting in eastern Oregon.

I'm glad you and Johnny had a good time up there.
