Family Traditions

Hello everyone, have been so busy since Christmas. My sister is visiting me and we have been quiet busy during the holidays. She is leaving in the morning for New Orleans to stay with her youngest daughter for a couple of weeks.

It was great reading about everyones holidays, and what has been going on with each of you. I do hope that Renee and Richert are well now. A cold makes you miserable, but Renee I have never heard of that remeday before. I think my husband would have packed me off if I put onions, fried at that on my chest. I can't stop laughing, that is just too cute.

Our Family Tradition has been going on since I had my first grandchild. Now that I have nine, I just added our daughters two step-children to our group. It is getting harder to keep all of them still and quiet to be able to read the Christmas Story about Jesus Birth. We then sing Happy Birthday to Jesus with a cake and candles before any presents can be given to them. I wanted each to them to know the true meaning of Christmas and what the purpose of gift giving was all about. So far from my 21 year old granddaughter to my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter, they all sit around me, including the parents, to share in this time. We also include my sister, Marleen and her children and grandchildren.

Our daughter Kim got married Nov. 15th. I am going to try to post some pictures. Hopefully my new son-in-law will help me.

Wishing each of you a Blessed New Year, good health and happiness in 2009.
