Medicare

Well, gang, I guess there is an advantage to turning 65...we become members of that
ever growing club. Renee, since you are working with Medicare clients, is there any thing that I should do other than purchase supplemental insurance? Send any good
hints. I got my card in the mail several months ago and miss placed it immediately.
I know it will turn up but C.B. order me another one.

Can you believe, I haven't decided what I'm going to do, yet. There are so many options and it depends on each individuals situation as to which one is best.

If you go with a supplement you also have to sign up for Part D, a prescription drug plan or be penalized later. If you want to call me, I can go over the options available in Hammond. If you have retiree group coverage I would stay with that.

Love ya

We met Friday with our insurance agent and I will be getting a supplement plus a drug supplement that cost $40.00 month and covers 100% of all drug cost. I am now spending about $80.00 a month on my medicines.

On another note, Carl Wayne Stevens has been diagnosed with lung cancer.
Bettye tells me that he has been a heavy smoker all his life and even after a heart attack he has not stopped. I think if Mother had not smoked she would have lived to be a 100.

I'm sorry to hear about Carl Wayne. I remember he was a heavy smoker when I dated him, and we were only 14 or 15 then.

Daddy had his first heart attack when he was thirty five and didn't quit smoking until his 7th heart attack in his early 50's. He lived 6 years after that, and he said he never got over the craving for a cigarette.

What drug plan did you get that pays 100%? We don't have any in MO that pay 100% unless all are generic.

I feel so bad for some of my clients. I have some people who are on 15 or 20 meds a day.
