Catching Up

Hi Everybody,

I've been keeping up with the blog, but haven't had a chance to write very much. Ron's ex wife died last month and we went to Louisiana to attend the memorial service. We spent about a week in Baton Rouge helping the girls take care of everything. After that I went to Kentwood to spend some time with family.

While I was there we got news that Karli, my oldest granddaughter has been accepted to LSU Medical School. She was so excited and I am so proud of her!

I don't know if I will be able to make the reunion, but I will try. I would love to see everybody.

Ron is leaving for Miami on March 17 and will be gone until the end of May. He will have a week off the first week of April and I plan to join him for about ten days.

Richert , I have the book, "Tuesdays with Morrie" and I do understand why that could be your favorite play. I would love to see you in it. Last week we went to the Lander's Theater in Springfield, Mo to see "The Music Man" and I was thinking about you the whole time. The Lander's Theater, an old opera house, celebrates it's 100th year in October and has been restored to its original elegance. We love to go there. Do you ever hear from Rosemary? I sure would like to see the pictures of her visit to NY.

EJ, in the birthday post I wrote about your mother taking us to Mardi Gras. Do you remember who was with us. It seems like it might have been Jeff and Guy, but at this age it is hard to remember that far back. Also, I saw on the list of posts that you had written about you Christmas memories. It showed up as a draft and never got posted. I enjoyed reading it. I hope you will go back and post it. You were talking about skates we got that year. I do remember the skates and the keys we used to tighten them. I miss Jeff and Bonnie, too.

Gail, it is so good to hear from you. Your great grandson is precious.

Margaret, thank you for posting the pictures of the slumber party. These days we could all use a smile or two.

Renee, that's great about Karli's acceptance into med school. Now whose child is she?

Karli is Karen's daughter. Karen is my middle child and she has two children, Karli and Seth. All three of my children have one boy and one girl. It's hard to believe they grow up so fast. How is your family?

My oldest daughter Sheri has 4 children, two boys and two girls ranging from 16 to 7. Traci, my middle daughter, has 2 girls ages 10 and 7. My caboose son, Chris, is not married. My girls were 14 and 11 when he was born.

I tried to publish EJ's post about Christmas in the past but I promise you, it disappeared and I have no idea where it went.

Rene, I think I wrote a comment under this post but obviously did not hit publish.

That is certainly great news about Karli. You have to be real proud and
it certainly says a lot for her parents and grandmother.
