Hi Everybody

I've been reading the blog, but haven't had time to write. I'll just write one post rather than going back and responding to individual posts.

Richert
Margaret I agree, Richert you are our Brittney (celebrity status only). A while back Richert invited us to his Face Book page. I loved it. There are so many pictures from his acting career . They are fantastic and made me much more aware of what you have been able to accomplish. I hope I will get to see you in action one day.

New Orleans
Richert, your post about New Orleans stirred up so many memories. I remember Mattie Decker, my surrogate grandmother, taking me to New Orleans on the Greyhound bus. We caught the bus in Kentwood on Hwy 51. Her sister lived at the Jung Hotel on Canal Street. My favorite things to do were riding the trolley cars, seeing the Christmas displays at Maison Blanche and DH Holmes, getting root beer floats at Woolworth's. Another favorite was going to Pontchatrain Beach. Does anybody remember going there as a group from school? Seems like I remember riding the roller coaster with either Jeff or Bill Smith. Or maybe Bernice took some of us there. EJ, don't know what we would have done without your mom.

Missing Everyone
Has anyonbody heard from Jeff? I hope Bonnie will be able to get back with us when school is out. Charlene, did you sell your house?

What's New With Me
Ron is working in Miami again. I spent a week with him in March. We had a great time. I'll be going back for another week the end of May. I'm still working in the insurance business, but I'm trying to phase it out. I'm starting a home based business that I hope will work. I'm really excited about it. It is called Send Out Cards. I'm having a lot of fun with it, but not sure if it will be productive. It sure is hard being 65 and trying to figure out what you want to be when you grow up! I've probably had 30 jobs since high school. Remodeling is almost finished. Kids and grandkids are all doing fine. I can't believe they are all growing up so fast. One of my grandsons is graduating from High School May 19. I'm trying to figure out if I can afford to come early enough for the reunion and stay for the graduation. On May 20 I'll drive the 500 miles back to Branson and leave for Miami on May 22. Feel like Dorothy in the Wizard of OZ.

Well, I don't get to write often any more, but when I do it turns out to be a book. I hope to see all of you at the reunion. Love you all.

Renee, I love the picture of the sunset. Hope you don't mind but I set it as my background. I am still not completely sure I can make it to the reunion and will be so disappointed if I don't. Would really love to see everyone. Take care and the best of luck in your new venture.

Thank you, Hilda. I consider it a compliment that you want to use the picture on your desktop. It is actually the sunrise. I only saw it once because Ron woke me up early.

I'm in the same boat you are about the reunion. Still don't know if I'll be able to make it, but sure am going to try.

One of the great things about my new venture is that I can send real paper cards with a click on the computer and I can put my own photos on them. I've always tried to send each of my 6 grandchildren a card from every state we've traveled in. Now the postcard is a picture I took while I was there. And it is so much easier. I probably won't make much money, but hope to cover my expenses for my hobby.

Hi, Renee, The photos are great and it looks like you are enjoying yourself. I just got back from our family vacation and also spending time in NH. I'm sorry I want see you in Kentwood, I'll be in NH. Mary Anne can't get enough of the babies. I hope to post some photos when I get caught up here in NC. If you make it to Kentwood be sure to post photos. Hope to see everyone latter.

OK, I love the pic of the sunrise. Just guessed at it. I am so hoping things work out so that I can go for the reunion but will just have to wait & see.

I love the memories of NO Renee. It's almost like I have two separate memories of New Orleans, one for when I was a kid, and the other for when I was in school at LSU. Both sets of memories are equally fun. Thanks for the comments about Facebook. I think it's a great way to stay in touch and keep up with folks beyond our little blog. I'll be thinking of all of you at the reunion and will be looking forward to the pics.

Richert, my sister got me on Facebook so that I could keep up with the status of a friend in Oregon who had cancer. I'm still learning how to use it, how do I access your page, pics, or whatever. I sent you an invite but don't know if you received it or not. Take care and the best of luck in your career.

Renee, I love your pictures, too. Where was the one with Ron taken? You both look so good!

Jeff, I really wanted to see you and Mary Ann. However, I do understand. You will be missed....

Renee & Marg,
I wrote a long comment under this post...not sure why it did not post.
Maybe it is somewhere else. I just don't know how to search for it.
How do I do a search?

EJ, You can go to the page where you enter a new post. Click on the link bottom of the page that says "Lists of Posts".

If the post says "draft" it was never posted. At the top of the page you can do a search by name, drafts, posted, etc. I checked for your post and wasn't able to find it anywhere. I get a notification on my Google page when someone makes a new post. I saw a post by you one day, but couldn't open it and the next day it was gone. Could you have posted it to another blog?

I hope this isn't too confusing. Looking forward to seeing you on May 9.

Love,

Renee
