Camp Creel goes to Kentwood

This was taken in Crowley, La. All the kids are mine except the one sitting down on the far left and she's a friend of Remi, standing behind her.
We visited Kentwood High. Do these fella's look familiar?

Here we are eating at The Cafe that's across from where the Grey Hound Bus Station used to be.
We were able to tour Ted Lewis' house!

Kaden, the far left, is EJ's grandchild, sort of. Doesn't the school look the same? It does inside, too.

Here I am with Reggie Covington.

The Slumber Party Gang by the "pit" and in front of the cafeteria.

Oh, my gosh, how many hours did we sit on the front steps waiting for the bell to ring?

Here's Charleen standing in front of the old library where she first met Buster!

The grandkids in front of my old house. I still remember all the good times we had sitting on the porch in the old swing that is no longer there.

The girls were thrilled to go into the Veteran's Museum and see Britney's wing! CC signed her poster and wrote, "HI, I'm your cousin, please call me."

We visited the nursing home and ran into Ms. Camille, Kenny Cutrer's mom. She was having a great time!

Here we are all gathered around Ms. Francis. She's soon to be 99 though she thinks she already is.

We rode 4 wheelers at Bettye and Harold's. The kids got to drive them and thought they were just the neatest things EVER!
We went on a swamp tour out of Slidell. There were 18 of us on the boat and they were all in our party. We had a great time and saw a lot of alligators.

Here's my 5 original grand kids. Notice the 12 year old on the cell phone!.
After the tour, we ate pizza and had Baskin and Robbins ice cream!
Here's my group with my brother Fernie Ray and his wife Carol Jean.
The fun continued when we got back to Houston and I took them roller skating. All in all, we had a wonderful time and they loved seeing Kentwood and meeting all their cousins..............and CC is still waiting for that call from Britney!

Marg,
These are great. What fun we had.

Guys, I can truly tell you that the
itinerary was full. Margaret had something planned every minute. The kids just had the best time....and
so did the "slumber party gang"..

I loved the pictures, too. Everyone looks they are having such a good time. What a great way to entertain the grand kids! You are a wonderful grandmother. I'll have two of mine for two weeks starting next week. But they aren't little ones any more . They are 18 and 16.

Love ya

Margaret, The photos are great, I keep looking at them over and over. I still couldn't guess who the two men were at the cafe?

Jeff, I am so sorry I didn't identify them. The one by Bettye is her husband, Harold.... or better known as "Fuzzy" in high school. He's from Spring Creek originally. My dear sweet hubby is the other guy! Jack drove me and the 6 kids over to Kentwood and did all the touring with us. I couldn't have done it without him. We borrowed my oldest daughter's Suburban so we would have enough room. Sheri and her husband flew out of Houston to enjoy R & R in Naples, Florida. My other daughter and her husband relaxed here in Houston during Camp Creel.
