It has been a long three or four weeks but I am definitely on the mend now. Gonna miss my dad's 90th birthday celebration and kinda bummed about that but we can't have everything, right? I am just so thankful to be feeling better.
Does anyone know how Richert is doing? Didn't someone mention that he had been in the hospital also or did I dream that in one of the weird dreams I was having in the hospital? Boy, I had some.
Was so sorry to hear about Amanda. She was so upbeat and positive each time I talked with her. I know she will be missed by her family and friends.
Trying to get caught up on correspondence so will say good night. Be safe everyone.

Hilda, so good to hear from you and especially that you are feeling much better... You really had a rough time didn't you??? Is your daughter still staying with you?? You are so lucky to have her close...
Your Dad will understand why you are not able to be there for his birthday.... He knows how it is to try and get your strength back and most of all trying to feel better..

Thank you Bettye. No, Kim was only able to stay on week ends. Her daughter is taking some college courses so when she gets off work she has to baby sit her grandchildren. She is a busy lady and I really appreciated her taking time to come and stay with me.
My son Mike and his wife Synthia live just a couple of miles down the road from me so they kept a check on me. They too have been super. They and my sister-in-law that lives over here have all informed me that I will not be taking any more trips to Louisiana by myself. Guess this kinda scared them all....we'll see.

Recovering from surgery does take a while. So take it easy and do not push yourself.

Hilda, EJ really is a great "taxi" driver. She likes to be treated to lunch at Middendorf's as a fringe benefit. She's picked me up many times.
