Pictures and Thank you from Amanda's Daughter

From Janice Holdeman, Amanda's Daughter:
These are the flowers from the class of 62. Our family would like to thank each of you they were very beautiful and momma would have been very proud of them just as she was every time she received a call, letter, or picture from any of you.

A neighbor of Amanda wrote the following on the guest book. Gives some insight into the wonderful person she was:

Their are no words to express our loss of such a dear friend and neighbor. She always looked out for everyone and was ready and willing to help those that needed it. We have all taken for granted the many conversations we had with her over our fence. She always looked out for us and our lifes will not be the same without her. She was a great teacher when it came to plants and was an amazing woman who could do anything once she placed her mind to it, whether it was working on a car or building a pool deck. Lynette and I both recently lost our mothers but we always thought we would have Mrs. H to fill our void. Clay could not wait to show her his new baby and we have assured him that she will be looking out for him from heaven above.

God has received another great angel to grace heaven above. God bless you all and help you through this time of great sorrow. Our love and prayers are with you even as we can not be.

Renee,
Yes, I was on F.B. at the same time you were. I was so surprised to see a flash/block with "are you on FB"..
I was like "yea"! But how do I let you know. Did you get a message from me?

That was sweet of Amanda's daughter and you are just the best (oh, can't leave out Margaret)at putting stuff on the blog.
Thank you!

I got a message on my FB page but not in the "chat' which is when are both connected at the same time. It was much easier to pick up the phone and call you with our special code. But we can write notes to each other when we are both on Fb at the same time.

To send me a "chat" message , when the block pops up click on my name, write a message and hit enter.

Thank you for the compliment. I'm so proud of the way our class came together in support of Amanda during her illness.I can tell you I don't think I've ever felt as much appreciation for such small acts of kindness.

The flowers were beautiful Thank you for ordering them. How much do I owe you?

Does the Kentwood doctor in New Orleans know we have two class of '62 granddaughters in their first year of LSU Med School in New Orleans?

I'm sure everybody call tell when Ron is gone. My posts get longer and longer. He won't be home for another 5 weeks so I'll probably be writing a book.

Renee,
Reggie Sanders is the doc in N.O.
He told me his mother loves reading the blog. Do you remember Reggie? He is Charles' younger brother. I think Charles married Kerry Galloway.

Next time I see or talk with him I'll let him know. Have the med-student girls connected?

I have a busy day tomorrow, but I'm going to call (you are right special phone code was easier) when I can and we can discuss Facebook. I keep getting all this invites.

Sounds good. No the girls haven't made contact yet. Karli is so busy I hardly ever get to talk to her myself. She said school is very hard and she studies almost constantly.

Look forward to talking to you.

Love ya
