Hi Everyone, thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers. I had no idea what was in store for me when I went for an annual physical a few weeks ago. My doctor found something in a routine exam, sent me for a CT scan and then everything happened quickly. Got the results on a Monday and he told me I had to have surgery that week. As Kim posted, it was a lot more extensive than even the doctor expected but I have really done good. God is so Amazing! I have had to have nothing for pain after the first few days, which has surprised the doctors and nurses.
Margaret, thanks for posting the information and keeping everyone updated. And thank you also for the phone call, it was much appreciated. Looking forward to our 50 year reunion...WOW that is hard to imagine! Can't wait to see what good things are in store for me since my doctor tells me that when I get over this I am going to feel better than I have in years!

Hilda, what great news. My thoughts and prayers have been with you. It is amazing, sometime, what we have to go through to realize how great life can be.

Don't think I mentioned in my post but I am home and getting stronger every day. Well, I am at my son's house that is and he and his wife are taking excellent care of me. Kinda anxious to get to my house though. Maybe next week.
