Jeff Jordan...........big senior all the girls had a crush on!

Look at those eyebrows! Jeff was even cute in the 5th Grade.
Stunt Night...........Jeff takes front stage! That's Bettye and Mrs. Lambert in the background to the left.

We had so much fun in Chemistry with Mr. Price. I think this was the whole class. Sucking on lollipops at Christmas time in 1961...........front row, L to R, Lynne, Bonnie, Margaret and Rosemary. Back Row, L to R, Mr. Price, Johnny, Richert, Jeff and Paul Robinson. Paul was my chemistry partner and he would go into this lengthy explanation why this certain experiment was occurring and I would say, "Paul, what do you mean?" Paul would then turn his head and look at me as if I were a lowly girl and smile and then say, "What do you mean, what do I mean?" 8)

We did laugh a lot didn't we. Have a great birthday Jeff. Will try to post one on FB too.
Sounds like you had a lot more fun in your chemistry class than I did. I did enjoy it though.
Happy Birthday Jeff!
OOPS, didn't look at the actual date of your birthday until after the post. Oh well at least I won't be late in wishing you a happy one.
Sorry, Hilda and Richert. I should have put September 28 or whenever. If I don't put pics on at the first of the month, I forget.
BTW, that's actually Jeff's autograph on that one picture in the 5th grade!
I knew that Marg, I just had a "senior moment" but then came to my senses after posting birthday wishes. My fault not yours.
I couldn't believe those eyebrows belong to me ..but a quick look in the mirror did confirm it!! What ever happen to Gordon Price. I don't think I would have gone to college if it wasn't for his classes. Is he still around? I also wish there was a way to connect with Paul. If I knew his middle name I would try to to find him and Margaret your comments about Paul remind me so much of his personality.
Jeff, I'm pretty sure Mr. Price is still alive but not in the best of health. He was a big influence on me and my decision to go to USL. Did you graduate from there? I vaguely remember at one point you and Johnny were tearing up "Cajun Country"!
At one point me,Johnny,Rollover, and Thorny Henry (from Amite) rented a house in Lafayette. You can't imagine what that was like!!
Yes I graduated from USL and later went to graduate school in New York.
What year did you graduate as a Ragin' Cajun, Jeff? How did I lose contact with you? I graduated in January, 1966 in nursing. Moved to Houston, met Jack and was wed in December, 1966! Been here ever since!
Margaret, I officially graduated in 1968, but I completed all my course work in 1967 EXCEPT the one credit library science course that I should have taken my freshman year so after accepting a job in California I had to go to summer school and take the course before leaving for California. At USL I would take a semester off every 2 or 3 semesters and would work as a merchant seaman on cargo ships in Europe and Africa etc., so it took me longer to finish
That's interesting, Jeff. My uncle Gus was the captain of a merchant marine ship and he was originally from Denmark. He married my mother's sister, Vienne, and made Kentwood his home. Uncle Gus could not swim and spent most of his life at sea. That's mind-boggling to me. 8)
I bet you have some stories to tell.
Margaret, Their was someone in Kentwood who was part of the Seamans Internatinal Union that help me get my first seaman job, but I can't remember his name. Did your uncle live in Kentwood in 62?
My first trip to West Africa was right after KHS graduation and it was a real eye opener for a 17 year old country boy from Kentwood.
I also remember getting my first engineering job and making half the money I made as a merchant seaman.
