I love reading post from everyone and feeling a part of "the Group". I had hoped to have pictures of my cruise to post but due to a very careless act on my part I did not get to make the cruise. To make a long story short, being the independent hard head that my children tell me I am, I was moving a queen size mattress from one bed room to another, lost my balance and landed full force on my tail bone. Had planned on moving the entire bed but that little accident put an end to that. Unfortunately this landed me in the hospital for about 10 days due to compressed disc and a fractured disc. I got out the day my travelling buddies left for Miami. I only got out because I fibbed to the doc and told him someone was going to be here with me. I was sooooo tired of that hospital room though. Enough of my woes! Since I will be of no use to anyone in Louisiana right now I decided to make the Oregon trip after all. Hopefully I will be able to move around a little better by the end of the month.
In one of the comments someone asked about Connie Inkenbrandt. The last time I was at Jim's I mentioned that I wondered where she was and Jim said he had just seen her at the store. From what he & Lavern said she lives out past them in St Helena Parish. Don't know her last name now or if she is married. She was with her younger brother at the store; can't remember his name but think it is Larry.
I was aware of the deaths of Bill and Guy but what about Wallace? What did he die of?
I know this is a smorgasbord post but my mind is jumping from one area to another. Think I have been stricken with adult ADD, or that fall shook up more than my spine. Take care everyone and keep the posts coming.

Hilda, I am so sorry to hear about your accident. I was missing you and thinking about how much fun you must be having on the cruise.
Have you been keeping up with all of these posts?
Take care of yourself and enjoy your trip to Oregon.
Glad you are back with us. Love, Renee
Thanks Renee, yes I am keeping up with the post and trying to stay caught up on the comments. I have forgotten so much about everyone, if they had brothers, sisters, etc. Fortunately as friends write in it helps to bring back those memories. I plan to take my laptop to Oregon just so I can keep up with everyone. Hate that I will miss the reunion in June but...can't have everything. Love ya, Hilda
Hilda---I was wondering what had happened to you...Thought I remembered a cruis...Knew you would surface sooner or later. Take care with your back. My sone keeps me going with ice and biofreeze. In my freezer I have all kinds of little pieces of ice wrapped in paper towels that are in the shapes of all my body parts...Ummmm....
Hi Bonnie, I love your painting. Wish I were just a little talented. I do great with a coloring book when entertaining my grandchildren but that's about the extent of it. Take care.
So sorry, Hilda, about your accident. Those things happen so fast and in hind sight, you think, "I really shouldn't have been doing that!" Oh, well, you know what that say about hind sight...it's 20/20! I do hope you are feeling better.
I thought Connie Inkenbrandt died a while ago. Perhaps, I'm wrong. I'll ask my sister-in-law, Barbara Gill. She usually keeps up with everything going on in Kentwood.
Hilda,
I'm so sorry to hear of you unfortunate mishap. Home accidents can happen in a flash. I've had two major ones...one in 1990. fractured my femur On crutches for a year. Ultimately resulting in a
total hip replacement in 1997. Then
in May 2006 while moving stuff to the new house, I fainted and fractured four ribs.
I hope that you will soon have a
full recovery.
It just takes time and being aware of what you can and cannot do. So be careful and get well.
We all have missed you!
