Welcome, Charl!

Hilda, we had a great time at the nursing convention. I didn't do a strip this time, but I did dance the cotton eyed Joe! You notice, I was the minority here with all my friends (ha)! Gotta love those Filipinos and Thai girls.

Hey, Charl, I am so glad you've joined us! We don't write on this very often, but when we do, it's fun to hear from everyone.

My baby, Chris, 26 years old, graduates from UT's School of Law this Saturday. I am so excited and so proud of him. Once I get through this, I plan on posting some fun pictures on the blog, if I can figure it out........Renee and Bonnie can help.

I'm glad you had a good time at
the convention. You must be so
proud of Chris. I have a friend
from Korea and she is a doll.

Bonnie, how did you know we watched "Dancing with the Stars" while we were at our convention???

Isn't it terrible when your life revolves around Dancing with the Stars and American Idol. No matter how much paper work I have or how "bogged" down I am, I tape a lot, but keep Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday night open for these two programs. We all laugh at school about what we will do after these two programs are over :( Just think---this is your tax dollars at work.
I really like Kristi, but think Jason and Edyta look so good together. I think Cristian faked his hurt arm...Sympathy vote. I like David Cook on AI. I've always "kind of" liked that "bad boy" type. From Kentwood no less...Go figure!!! ;)

Well, I see we still have things in common. I watch Dancing with the Stars when I can, American Idol some but forget about it sometimes. I try to watch it when it gets down to the finals. Bonnie, your guy made it to the final two anyway. I was even going to take a ball room dancing class but was going to have to go quite a distance and with gas prices right now decided against it. Took an introductory class and loved it.

hilda---I have been wanting to take dancing lessons for about 3 years. Just so tied up...never time. This summer I want to take a shooting class at the shooting range. Then get a license to carry a gun. YOU KNOW YOU'RE A REDNECK WHEN.....

Hilda---not actually carry it on me...but in the car and not get into trouble. I do a lot of traveling alone. My dad and I use to shoot every weekend. He actually taught me how to use a gun and gave me one when Mike and I first got married...In case I didn't think the marrige was working...no, really...we have lived in a lot of places and I have always been alone for long periods of time. My dad doesn't know who I am now...he doesn't even know who he is now. Very sad.

How weird, I took a shooting class when I was working the bank several years ago. Got a permit and my husband bought me a gun. One of my responsibilities was to go check the atm machine if there was a problem. Sometimes I had to go on week ends and at night and he wanted me to have it. Then he would never let me go by myself, he always went with me. I let the permi expire but like you I travel alone a lot and plan on getting another one.
I'm sorry about your dad, mine still knows me right now but he is rapidly getting worse.

Bonnie & Hilda,
Carrying a gun when traveling a- lone is a good idea. I went to the shooting range with CB all the time. He would shoot plate matches. When we started going to the camp we had a place built so he could practice shooting.
My former business partner was armed robbed when getting out of the car in front of her house. She pulled her gun out instead of her wallet and shot him. He(black 18 y/o)dropped his gun and ran. Did not get immediate medical treatment and died. It's a wild story...not
that unsual for living in N.O.

Something I am really interested in---google www.shieldher.com
I walk really early in the morning and this is interesting. I read about taser parties and located this information. Just wondering if it really works. LOL&LOL

Don't tas me bro!!! Bonnie I would recommend shooting classes and a pistol permit over a taser. . Both my daughers have handguns and know how to use them. Unforunately I think that is very important. The last company I was with we had a guy put out a murder contract on my CEO and one of my peers. We could have written a book...He's now in federal prison to be released in 2010.
