Hi Everybody,
I didn't realize that every time I posted a picture from the 1954 album, I was downloading the whole slide show again. I'll probably be deleting some of them because they take up too much space. I'm trying to find the best way to post the pictures. Any Suggestions? I can probably do the slideshow, individual pictures, picture of the day, or just send a link to the album.
Jeff, we haven't heard from you in a while. How is the new grand baby?
Janice, did you see my post about going to Texas or NM to pick you up at your sisters?

Renee, Alexandra is doing great. She is currently on her first outing on Nantucket this week with mom and dad. Mary Anne is in Indiana this week visiting with high school friends and her 94 year old mom who is in great health and left me home to catch up on my "to do" list. Since I retired I wake up in the morning with nothing to do and by the end of the day I get only half of it done. Are you back home or still on the road?
I'm home now. We'll be leaving on a job the last week of August and will be gone until the first of October. It will be a long trip covering 6 states. But I haven't worked on the road for three years, so I'm looking forward to it (I think). I'll see if I still have what it takes.
I'll also get to see my daughter and two of my grandchildren who live in SC. That is one reason I decided to take the job.
I'm glad your family is doing well. Don't forget to put the blog on your "to do" list.
Renee, I thought I had left comment about the trip. It was to Odessa, Tex. What a long time ago.
Today I am cooking meatballs and spaghettei and I always think of your mom when I cook this. She made the best on Saturdays and if I was spending Sat. night with you we would eat it for supper. Great memories! Have a safe and blessed trip while ya'll on the road.
Janice,
I remember how much you enjoyed the spaghetti and meatballs on Saturday. And I remember how delicious your mother's pound cakes were. Isn't it funny the things we remember?
It is hard to keep up with all of the comments. You could have replied and I missed it.
Do you still live in the same place where I came to visit you when I lived in Baton Rouge?
Renee,
We bought land out Greenwell springs rd. about 11 years ago and built a guest house and lived in it for about 8 0r 9 months while we built our house. It's country, but you have to go through a subdivision to get to us, so there are people around us. We love it and hope we never have to move back into baton rouge. I don't remember which house you came to visit us at, one we lived in for aboout 7 years, and the next one for 27 years.
I've tried to make my mom's cake, but it's not the same.
Have a great day.
