I know you are all interested in what's going on in Kentwood and the damage from Gustav! Bettye sent this email to our Slumber Party Blog and I thought I would share it with y'all. (I hope Bettye doesn't mind!)
Hey,Just wanted to check in with everybody. We are doing fine, still no lights, but thank goodness for generators... ...It is 4:20 P.M. as I am writing this little chat page.. I am keeping my computer unpluged until this is all over... We are still having rain today, and have not been able to clean the yard yet , because of it... Some parts (mainly town) of Kentwood does have lights....We went riding this afternoon and we did not see any Entergy trucks anywhere working on the lines... No telling when we will get them back on....We have already used one drum of gas with our generator..
