Richard Dunn & After Gustav

Richard Dunn passed away on Monday. I do not know any details. He had been sick for some time.

We weather Gustav okay. After Katrina we had a full house powered generator installed and having power during the storm made it much more bearable. We lost a tree in the front yard...
Our neighbor lost a big tree in their back yard which came very close to our house. Another large tree came very close to crashing into our neighbors house. We own the lot next to our house and this tree was very close to our neighbor....they were not at home. I did not know any of this was happening. Did not see or hear the trees fall. It wasn't until after the storm that I realized the tree was about to crash into my neighbors house. Fortunately we were able to get it removed immediately. We got power back around 1 pm Wednesday.

We had six people staying with us. We were able to cook, drink wine, play games, work Sudoku
puzzles, watch movies.....not bad at all. Could not get TV because the cable was out. We had a
small black & white TV with rabbit ears and lots of snow which we would turn on just to hear the news every now & then.

Now there are three more hurricanes in the Atlantic.....too much activity for me.
