In Dec. 2003, C.B. and I would have a Christmas party for our family and friends. We
started this the year that Kaden turned one. We would have a Santa Claus and give all
the children gifts from Santa. The real fun for me is gathering all the toys to give out...each child would get three...this year I upped it to four. This year we had 24 kids. The picture above is one I took this year. The only year that I did not do this was right after Katrina in 2005.
Prior to these years, C.B. played Santa Claus for about 8 years for our good friends
and their family. He loved doing it and was a great Santa. He was even Santa at a large fund raiser...l,500 ladies....and Charmaine Neville sang "Santa, Baby" to him on
stage. He loves telling that story.

This is priceless! What a great picture and a wonderful thing to do. And I bet when the kids are our age, your Christmas parties will be some of their fondest memories. Love your outfits.

Renee, you do know that Santa and Mrs. Santa are not EJ and CB. EJ hires a couple to do this each year. It is a wonderful tradition and one EJ looks forward to each year. She does such a good job and everyone has a great time. I've never been able to go, but I hear stories and see pictures and it is priceless. Be sure to click on the picture to enlarge it!
Sorry I didn't make that clear. The Santa and Mrs. Claus are professionals. I've been able to get them the last two years. The first year we were here, I could not found anyone to play Santa, so my water aerobics teacher dressed up as Mrs. Claus. She also teaches swimming and
Kaden & Claire took swimming lessons from her. They did not make the connection in 2006 but we knew they would the next year. I was thrill when I found Mrs. Claus and Santa. One year she read stories to the kids but there were too many to pay attention. This year we sang songs and that was must more fun.
