Okay, everyone. We don't have a special family thing we do for Christmas. I tried having everyone at my house one Christmas eve and it was a disaster. I have one daughter who is very extravagant with her children's gifts and another who is frugal. How to you explain to a little one why Santa was so "good" to one child and the other only got one gift? Since then, I've decided it's Christmas at your own home when it's my turn to be with y'all. (I have to share them with their in-laws every other year.)
We do, however, have an interesting tradition with our Christmas cards. One year, I wanted a really nice looking card to send of everyone, so we dressed in our best black velvet dresses and black suits. My husband thought that looked boring so he made us all wear red antlers with our attire! That started it......every year since 1984, our card has been different. One year we did a takeoff of the Adam's Family, we've done the Night Before Christmas where Jack was dressed as a medieval Knight and was standing in front of all the rest of us who were holding letters spelling out the word CHRISTMAS. We did The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an open fire).....that was interesting. Once it was Grandma Got Run Over by A Reindeer, then last year it was the Twelve Days of Christmas. This year we did "Deck the Halls". My husband forbids me to say the name of the song so everyone has to guess what we are portraying. Someday, when we all get together, I'll have to show you my scrapbook of the cards. It really has become fun for the kids and they even help with the idea since I offer a hefty cash price for the winner!

EJ, share what you do each year with your party!
Margaret, what a great idea for Christmas cards. Sounds like a fun time for your family.
Margaret, thanks for sharing your cards with us each year. Kenny and I always enjoy them, and seeing your family. Have a wonderful, blessed New Year.
