Gail..
So good to hear from you. Your great-grand baby is just adorable.
I love the cabinet that you made. Being able to craft something that beautiful is a real gift.
I'll be waiting for that lunch.
Gail, so glad to hear what's been going on with you. You were always such a good friend to me and I loved having you as a classmate! I can't beleive you are now a great grand-pa!
Did you know my dad, Ollie Gill, worked for Coca Cola in New Orleans for over 25 years? To this day, Coca Cola is very dear to all of our family members' hearts. Charleen's father, Uncle Pee Wee, also worked for Coke. Charl and I thought they ran the company, but I don't think they exactly held an admistrative position. We still remember visiting the old Coca Cola plant in New Orleans and such fond memories are invoked. Dad wanted his family to grow up in a small town, so he lived in a hotel during the week and worked the desk until the wee hours of the night and then took the Greyhound to Kentwood on the weekends. What a sacrifice for us!! Those two weeks of vacation he had every year was a blessing that I looked forward to like it was Christmas!
By the way, everyone, I appreciate your thanks to me for doing this blog, but Ella Joy and Jeff get kudos for pushing me to do it. We had discussed via email doing something and I had a family blog with one of my brothers and we decided it might work for us, too. Thanks to my 27 year old son for giving me the know-how and listening to all my complaints until we got it right! I do think you all enjoy it as much as I do and even if you don't say anything for a long time, I know you are there.
P.S., Gail, double click on the pictures and they enlarge! That way, you get to see how really handsome you great grand baby is and even read the logo on your shirt!
Wow Gail...come and build some shelves in my NYC apartment. I sure could use them! Great to hear from you and see you after so many years. Congrats on a beautiful grandbaby. Will look forward to more from you.
Gail, I never knew you were so talented. The cabinet is beautiful. I know Connie appreciates your talent. Gage is adorable and I know you are so proud of him. I bet Mr. Bus and your mom (can't remember her name, just always called her Mrs. Feltman) are smiling down on your family. Take care, still looking forward to seeing you and Connie in Kentwood sometime.
Good to hear from you Gail. Very nice work on the hutch. I wish I was closer to you so I could pick you brain on a number of woodworking techniques. My last project was a replica of a eighteen century tea caddy that I will post a photo of when I get a chance. We will have to chat one day when your schedule slows down a bit.
