EJ, Loved the pictures of the cake. Although I send them, I've never seen one. That's my kind of cookin', too. And yes we will be expecting lots of pictures!
Hilda, we will be flying into Atlanta for two days of training, then off to Phoenix. How is your dad? Do you fly or drive when you go to Louisiana?
Margaret, we have a man who works us in between jobs. He does most of the work, but Ron and I do as much as we can, clean up, painting, etc. Yes, we're working our butts off, too, so hopefully we'll be able to retire and enjoy some of these things. We haven't had time to go anywhere in the travel trailer, not even the State Park close by. We want to try it out close to home first. So here it sits in my driveway!

Wasn't it just the cutest cake! Everyone got a kick out of cooking it. Kaden was here, too, but didn't
get into the mixing or cooking...
it's a girl thing. We all had a taste and it was very good.
Hope you enjoy the travel trailer. I
would definitely do a trial run before I take it on any long distance journey.
Renee, thanks for asking about Dad. Physically I guess he is doing all right, otherwise not so good.
I always drive over, too expensive to fly as much as I have been going. Don't think I will be doing that any more tho. Had a pretty good scare with my heart this trip, freaked my daughter out so I promised her I wouldn't go by myself any more. Kinda gave me a wake up call also so guess she is right. I don't need to be going that far by myself any more. Still going somehow in June when Nancy is down tho.
Take care.
Hilda, that's probably a very good idea that you don't drive that far alone. Margaret had to quit driving by herself from Houston. I have never driven over 3.5 hours by myself, ever. I guess I would have if ever I had to. Renee really drives a lone way by herself.
How was the anniversary party? And did you have time to call Roll?
The party was great, saw a lot of friends and relatives I have not seen for a long time. Jim & Lavern's kids did a great job with everything.
Talked to Roll one day before I went over there, had a nice visit via phone with him. Did not have time to talk with him after I got over there. Mitch, one of my nephews that lives in Tickfaw took Kim & me out to eat Friday night and then Saturday was a really busy day. One of my cousins from Chattanooga, Kim, & I went to visit Dad for a little while then had errands to run. By the time we got back to Jim' it was time to get ready to go to the party. Rested pretty much all day today! Maybe I will have a chance to talk more with him when I come in June.
