Greetings from Cincy
Hi All. Have been away from the blog a bit what with running back to NYC for less than a week and then on to Cincy. We are in second week of rehearsals for Emma, the musical. This a small "chamber musical" based on Jane Austen's Emma. If you have never read Emma and find that prospect daunting then rent the Paltrow movie version. It's a great adaptation and will give you an idea of the story and setting. I play Emmas father and have discovered that while I don't have a song solo in this one, there is plenty of ensemble singing...more than I had expected and learning intricate harmonies has never been my strong suit. It's a very talented cast of about 15 people and there is a lot of excitement about the show. I think you all are aware that this show moves to St Louis after Oct 2. If you'd like to check out more details about the show either in Cincinnati or St Louis you can google the following theatre websites: Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park, and Repertory Theatre of St Louis, for show dates and other interesting info. As the openings draw closer there will probably be more info and once the show is open there will probably be small video scenes of the show. I'm glad to see you are all enjoying your final days of summer and are doing well. I'll update again when I can.

Richert,
I hope some of us can come to St. Louis to see you.. We have been trying to plan a reunion around one of your plays.
Did you see the 1954 picture of stunt night? You and Hilda were the only ones I recognized. Who would have dreamed you would still on the stage!!! We are all proud of you.
LOL Renee
